Being accepted into the school counseling graduate program at St. John's University has been a life changing experience for me. What I value most about the school counseling program at St. John's University is the close knit community the program provides between staff and students. The program provides guidance from a supportive staff and real life professionals in the classroom, while also providing practical real-world experience through practicum and internships. Looking ahead I feel confident that St. John's University has prepared me for my future as a school counselor. My professors and internship supervisors have given me the skills and knowledge I'll need to make a difference in someone's life someday, the same way that they have made a difference in mine.

A short walk from St. John’s University’s Queens, NY, campus, the Center for Psychological Services serves the entire community as a mental health lifeline. The center also serves as the cornerstone for the Clinical Psychology and School Psychology doctoral programs. As a training clinic, the center supplements classroom instruction by giving students hands-on experience where they can put theory into practice under expert supervision.
